SOCIETY ACT

CONSTITUTION (revised 2010)

1. The name of the society is Health for Humanity Service Society.

2. The purpose(s) of the society are to:

(a) Improve the health status of people and communities in the developing countries in which we work, who have limited or no access to health services.

(b) Organize multidisciplinary teams of volunteer health care professionals and support staff to travel (at their own expense) to developing countries in which we work to provide needed health services and health education.

(c) Collect donations of funds, medical equipment and supplies to support these services, and arrange transport to the developing countries in which we work.

(d) Support the people and communities of the developing countries in which we work to strengthen their internal capacity for health care and health promotion activities.

(e) Collaborate with the Canadian government (in Canada and abroad), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the local government and health care community in the developing countries in which we work, to identify other health care needs for which Health for Humanity and its volunteers can provide assistance.

(f) Ensure that projects strive to be capacity-building and sustainable in the identified countries or communities in which we work.

(g) Carry on without purpose of gain for its members, and ensure any profits or other accretions to the organization are used solely to promote its objectives.

BYLAWS

The bylaws of the society are those set out in Schedule B to the Society Act.
