Our surgical teams are almost complete, just a couple of experienced OR Nurses would be nice to round out the teams for November 8th - 24th and November 14th - 24th.

Call for Volunteers

H4H’s latest strategic plan (2013) will expand our services in Guatemala to include; 2 surgical missions, 2 primary care missions, as well as continued support to our Guatemalan partners - Partners for Surgery, Vamos Adelante, and Asociación Payasos Atz'anem K'oj. We are currently recruiting volunteers for our surgical missions. As in past years, one surgical team will work at the Obras Sociales in Antigua, from November 8–24.

The second team, for the first time, will work at Clinica Santa Barbara (CSB), in San Juan Sacatapequez (one hour north of Guatemala City) from November 15–24. The CSB mission is in collaboration with Partners for Surgery and will provide surgical services to rural indigenous patients from the Central Highland region of Guatemala. The primary care team has now returned from Guatemala safely following a productive health mission to a remote region where there is little/no health care.  The last day of their mission was interrupted by the recent earthquake.  Photographs from this health mission are available on our Facebook page which can be found at http://www.facebook.com/HealthForHumanity.  Details will be available in our pending H4H Annual Report 2012.
